The Management of Krisoral Group of Companies, a parent company for foremost manufacturing firms in South East, Nigeria has promised to sustain its position, as one of the most innovative in the country, by upholding good manufacturing practices.
Chris Oranu Chidume, group managing director, Krisoral Group of Companies, made this promise, while hosting the 1st batch of graduands of the Nigeria National Naval War College, Obima Rivers State, on tour of the Roll over Pilfer Proof (ROPP) Cap Plant of one of its subsidiaries; Krisoral & Co. Ltd. in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The plant, which is first of its kind in Nigeria, was commissioned on August 30, 2012, by former president of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan. Chidume, while receiving the faculty members and participants of the Naval War College, stated that it was a thing of joy and honour to be selected among many other companies in Anambra State to be visited by the team and attributed it to the company’s structure.
According to him, Government will always want to showcase its best, there is no doubt about that and the graduands are happy with what they saw.
“Although the management may have spent time, energy to host the team, but it is part of our goodwill, particularly to those in the security arm of Government. “They need to know what they are securing; if we continue to thrive in manufacturing, which requires that we bring in expatriates to work with us, we need security.
The Krisoral boss, while receiving a plaque from the Navy War College, on behalf of the company, said, “it is one of those things we take as a reward for doing good. If we are not organized as we are, I don’t think an organization like the Navy will be giving us a plaque and I received that plaque on behalf of all Krisoral staff, who believe in efficiency and getting things done very well.
Thaddeus Udofia, commandant, Naval War College, who led the team on the tour, explained that it is part of their curriculum to tour States and interact with Governments on the contribution of State Governments towards maritime security. He explained that they chose Anambra State for the tour, because of the successes recorded by Governor Willie Obiano in security and economic development since he assumed office.
He observed further that Krisoral Group is one of the beneficiaries of that enhanced atmosphere for economic development, which was why it was selected among the whole lot for visit. The theme of the study was, “Combating maritime security challenges towards socio-economic development”. The Naval War College provides professional level training for selected officers, who are referred to as participants, while on training.
Udofia also stated that the college, among other things, develop capacity of its men as well as other sister security agencies in order to be abreast with the best practices of tackling the increasingly critical and complex contemporary global security.
